Envirothon is a competition for students in grades 9 – 12.

Teams of 5 students each form in the fall and work together to learn about conservation in aquatics, soil, forestry, wildlife and current environmental issues.

Teams can be sponsored by the local high schools, FFA, 4-H, youth group, scouts, or other teen organizations.

Students will compete in a county competition, and the winning team will have the chance to go to the state competition.  Those winning state can go to national competition.

The Garrett Soil Conservation District helps local students with training, transportation and materials.
